Elvis Presley makes America extremely proud to have him as our own…..although he did belong, not only to America, but the whole wide World……Elvis was as good as any gospel singer that has ever lived on Planet Earth.

I believe…if every…single…person…in the world were taught growing up, “There is a God, He loves you, and has a plan for your life,” I’m sure the world would have all the “peace” it’s been asking for all the time.
JESUS is Life!

I think it was awesome how he looked up like as looking to heaven when he was singing this song here…. It makes me think he was acknowledgeing God his creator and loved him very much no matter what all he’d done or been thru in life!!! It showed great respect on his part and I think this is what made him great, the fact that he loved God and singing gospel music to God and people!!!!!

@nick 741000; Amen to that!!!!
@cbullockii;Ofc for the gospels.The grammys were founded in 1958 when Elvis was already busy for a time with Rock and at some time more and more switched to Gospel.The Rock & Roll Elvis was more at the early 50’s.Around ‘56 till ‘60 he was singing more covers then creating his own rock & roll.They said that he got royal screwed. Had like 14 nominees in total,won 3 with a Lifetime achievement award in 71. Too bad actually.

Elvis THE KING was unique. He had it all the voice, charisma, looks and stage act.
He was far and away above other musical acts like The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson. These acts were extremely limited in their repertoire. Elvis could sing in any musical genre and did.
He remains the greatest musical phenomenon of all time and his legacy will ensure he is remembered in a thousand years time.
R.I.P. KING and thanks for the memories.

Elvis came from a pentecostal background – he knew what he was singing. At every concert he sang a gospel song – which may have been the only gospel song some people ever heard. That could have changed someone’s life. At the time he started that, he was the only entertainer who did it. God bless him for that.
